This ministry exists with the burden to reach over a billion souls with the gospel message in the Asian subcontinent, simply because we cannot put a price on the human soul.
Our History
Light India Ministries (LIM) started with a vision God gave to Paul G. Nair about India. The vision which led to the formation of this ministry is an Enlightened India by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul Nair, after Theological studies was involved in various ministries including teaching and preaching in India and the USA. With his vital experience as a pioneer minister, he understands the needs, difficulties and challenges which are faced while trying to minister to souls for the Lord in the Indian subcontinent.
Paul recognized the importance of training and supporting the frontline ministers and lending a helping hand to the believers who are in dire financial need. He shared this vision with fellow believers. In 2000, the Lord led him to start this ministry as part of Community Bible Church’s outreach ministry. In 2009, this ministry was registered as a charitable organization with Von Roach as its Chairman and started operating independently.
God is using this ministry to support various ministers and believers in India. Light India Ministries believes in transparency and financial accountability. From the beginning, LIM has practiced the policy of making certain that one hundred percent of all the donations go directly to the mission field.
Our Mission
Enlighten:
India is a land of many religions. The majority of Indians are religious from their perspective. Indians are very good listeners. Most of the Indians are willing to accept Jesus as one of the Gurus. The tradition of Indian Christianity goes back to Christianity itself. Indian Christians believe that the apostle Thomas came to India in AD 52 and established Christianity. However, in India, the Gospel is yet to be heard by over 400 million people. The mission of LIM is to use the scripture to enlighten people about who Jesus is. This is very important in a world of pantheism and polytheism. Reaching them for Jesus Christ is LIM’s primary objective. Light India Ministries is committed to achieving this goal. We try our best to reach the unsaved and enlighten them with the divine Word through the distribution of Christian literature, public meetings, community events, personal evangelism, and billboards.
Empower:
With India’s great cultural and linguistic diversity, committed native missionaries in every state are the need of the hour for the evangelization of India. Light India Ministries has realized this and planned a few programs within its limited capacity to support the training of new and upcoming ministers for field ministry under the supervision of veteran ministers. We conduct mission conferences and seminars on discipleship. We also provide personal guidance, prayer support, and a forum to discuss their issues on the mission field with the veteran ministers. We also arrange mission trips to understand & assist their work and to strengthen the field ministers.
Enable:
Ministry incurs costs. Many ministries and ministers are finding it difficult to meet expenses. LIM believes it is biblical to support ministers and ministries in dire financial need. There are two groups of people who need care and concern everywhere in the world: those who are spiritually blind and those who live in a low socio-economic state. LIM is focusing on both in this subcontinent. Light India Ministries enlightens the spiritually blind through the divine Word and provides financial and material support to the destitute. Also, LIM assists the underprivileged to meet their educational and medical expenses.

• FERVENT PRAYER
Light India Ministries runs by faith and prayers. We believe in the power of prayer. The Bible says “Fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”. When Paul and Silas were imprisoned, the prayers of many were answered and the prison doors were opened. We plead with you to faithfully keep us in your fervent prayers.
• FINANCIAL SUPPORT
There is tremendous work to be done in this part of the world. The good news about India is, even in the midst of opposition, people are in search of and hungry for the truth. We need God’s faithful people to point them in the right direction. This incurs a financial cost. To achieve this goal, your faithful support is vital. Light India Ministries Inc. is a registered non-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. All contributions are tax deductible.
• SHORT-TERM TRIPS
We occasionally conduct short-term visits for educational, cultural and spiritual purposes. This provides an opportunity to visit the people working in fields. Also, it is a blessing and encouragement to local believers.
• VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are always welcome and will have opportunities to use their gift for the glory of our Lord as Light India Ministries continues to grow.
